The owner of an item may not always be able to collect it in person. This raises the question of whether someone else can retrieve the item on their behalf.
Allowing third-party pickups is entirely up to your organization’s policy. In most cases, this shouldn’t be a problem as long as the person can provide the correct item number and the owner’s name. To further verify, you might also request they present the confirmation email to confirm their connection to the item.
