Welcome! We're excited to assist you in setting up your Event account so you can begin your journey.
In this article, we’ll guide you through setting up your iLost account and getting it up and running in just a few minutes. The account setup includes internal details, as well as information that you can share with your event visitors. Simply follow the 5 steps below to complete the setup for your event.
Step 1: Login
Log in to your iLost for Business account using your email address and password.
*If you’ve forgotten your password, you can request a new one by clicking on "Forgot password?"
Step 2: Go to your Company Settings
Once you log in, you'll arrive at the general account overview. Now this page will be blank, but it will fill with the found items as your event unfolds.
Navigate to Company Settings to input your event details and add your colleagues. You can find the company settings by clicking on the icon located at the bottom left of your account.
Step 3: Invite your colleagues
Invite your colleagues involved in the Lost and Found process by clicking the blue "Invite teammate" button. Just enter their name and email address, select a user role, and they will receive an email invitation to log in. Additionally, you can manage user settings from this view.
*You can invite up to 10 colleagues.
Step 4: Website integration
It's essential for Event visitors who have lost an item to easily access your iLost page. We recommend including a link to iLost on your Event website, either on your contact page or in the FAQ section. This will help visitors understand their options for checking if their lost item has been found.
You can also add an iLost search widget to your website; widget options are available by clicking the blue button labeled "Check Widget Options."
Additionally, you have the option to create a custom button that links directly to your public iLost page, providing a seamless redirect for users to reach your iLost Event page.

Step 5: Account Event Branding
You can customize your Event page with your own branding! iLost offers three branding options:
Your logo;
A large banner image for the background;
Optional additional information for visitors;
These features allow you to personalize your Event page and make it more aligned with your brand identity. For more information, you can refer to the following article: "Configuration of your iLost page branding''.
*Please note that these components cannot be customized individually. To apply your desired branding, share the relevant files with iLost customer support.
